What can I say?  I was only using the 40 meter portion of the 14AVQ and at 18 feet, it was too short to work like I wanted.  So, the vertical was turned into a 33.3 foot monoband 40 meter antenna.  For big (1MB image click on image below).  Works great!  See initial log below.

Update 4/19/07. This antenna came down on the huge Noreaster of 4/15/07.  It was sorely missed, so it went back up on 4/18/07 by cutting tubing on the bottom and making a sleeve splicing it back together.  The antenna is too good for DX to give up.

Ground mounted 3 inches above ground on 4-ft 1-1/4 inch i.d. water pipe with 32 radials.  Guyed at 18 feet.
