On December 23, 1963 when my novice license arrived I used the Hallicrfaters HT40
transmitter (top left). Next to it is the HA5 VFO. The
BIG receiver is the Collins R390A tuned to the 7058 KHz
FISTS club frequency. The Morse key is a 1913 Vibroplex bug
made of brass on a gloss black base. 50 watts.
